After an incredible finals series in the 2019 Canterbury Cup the Newtown Jets will take on the Wentworthville Magpies at 3pm on Sunday afternoon at Bankwest Stadium in Parramatta in a game that has a little bit of everything for the Rugby League enthusiast just like bonus bez depozytu.
Both teams have proven to be tough competitors in the Canterbury Cup finals series, with the Newtown Jets making the Grand Final from 4th place on the ladder while the Wentworthville Magpies have changed home from 6th place.
Wentworthville will enjoy somewhat of a home field advantage, being the feeder club for the Parramatta Eels, and the 2019 Grand Final will be a chance for long time Parramatta Eels captain Tim Mannah to finish out his Rugby League career with a win on home soil, a place I like to call “The house that Tim Mannah built”!
Mannah has been is strong form throughout the second half of the 2019 Canterbury Cup season. He has really led from the front and shown how important it is to have some first grade experience in the side at this level. Always reliable, and always one of their best, Mannah will no doubt be looking to leave everything out on the field ion his final match.
The Magpies will be captained by Josh Hoffman, who is in form that is so sensational right now that he would not be out of place if selected in the New Zealand test team in a few weeks time. His running from fullback has been so strong, and overall he has been the highest performer at Canterbury Cup level I have seen in 2019.
The Jets meanwhile are very comfortable at this time of the year, with so much experience in finals football throughout the club and with a massive fanbase that turns in big numbers every week.
The dummy half running of Blayke Brailey will be key for the Jets on Sunday. They will need to take the aggressive Magpies pack head on and try to tire them out, and Brailey is the man to start that process for the Jets.
Braydon Trindall will also be key to Newtown playing well in the Grand Final. His form over the last month has been sensational, he has proven to be a true game breaker in the halves, and if he fires the Jets will be hard to beat.
