North Queensland Cowboys
Big SuperCoach news from the Cowboys in round 20 was back rower Gavin Cooper played 80 minutes for the first time since round 8. He scored a season high 84 which included a try, 37 tackles, a line break and 20 from hit ups. Jonathan Thurston had his fourth great score in a row with 73 on the back of a try assist, 3 forced drop outs, a line break assist and 20 points from hit ups. Matt Scottplayed 63 minutes (up from his season average of 53 minutes) and scored 63 thanks to 22 tackles, a line break assist and 36 from hit ups. Matt Bowen scored a try with a line break for a total of 60 points (his best since round 4). Kalifa Faifai Loa also scored a try with a line break for 58 points. Joel Riethmuller played 59 minutes off the bench for a score of 53 which included 27 tackles and a line break. Brent Tate was solid with a score of 49, 20 of which came from a try assist and line break assist.

Ashton Sims scored only 12 in 16 minutes. Anthony Mitchell came off the bench for 36 minutes for a paltry 23. Ray Thompsonstarted at hooker and played 44 minutes for a score of 28. Outside backs Kane Linnett and Antonio Winterstein scored poorly with 36 and 32 respectively. James Tamou played just 37 minutes and scored an ordinary 41.

Brisbane Broncos
Leading the charge for the Broncos in round 20 was centre Justin Hodges who scored a massive 100 points. He scored a try, had a try assist, broke 8 tackles, made 2 offloads, broke the line and had 3 line break assists in an outstanding performance. Hodges (if he stays healthy) will be an absolute SuperCoach beast over the remaining weeks of the season. Cheap option Corey Oates scored 93 in his third game for the season and is in for some nice price rises over the coming weeks. He played the game on the wing and scored a try, picked up a try assist and made 4 line breaks. Matt Gillett played 68 minutes and made 31 tackles, 5 tackle breaks, 5 offloads and scored 29 from hit ups for a great total of 87. Corey Parker kept on rolling with a score of 83 in the full 80 minutes. He made 42 tackles, 3 offloads and scored 34 from hit ups. Josh McGuire was awesome once again, scoring 66 points (including 40 tackles) in 65 minutes. Sam Thaiday started in the back row and played 80 minutes for a score of 64 on the back of 36 tackles and 22 from hit ups. Andrew McCullough made 44 tackles and broke the line in 59 minutes for a total of 60 points. Ben Hunt played at halfback and scored a season high 52 thanks largely to a try and a line break assist. David Stagg scored a respectable 51 (34 coming from tackles) in 41 minutes off the bench.

Peter Wallace was relegated to the bench and scored just 18 in 21 minutes. Scott Prince and Lachlan Maranta both scored a pedestrian 25. Alex Glenn played in the centres (and looks to have suffered a broken thumb) and was quiet with a score of 34.

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
The Bulldogs were the latest team to take advantage of a dreadful Parramatta side and they produced some huge SuperCoach scores in the process. Josh Morris had his second good game in a row with a season high 98 points on the back of a try, try assist, 3 offloads, 2 line breaks and 21 from hit ups. Michael Ennis notched a season high 87 which included a try, try assist, 29 tackles and 2 line break assists. Dale Finucane scored his first NRL try, made 3 offloads and broke the line for a season high 85 in 46 minutes. Trent Hodkinson scored 78 (another season high) thanks to a try assist, 22 from goal kicking, 2 offloads and a line break assist. James Graham played 63 minutes and scored 74 which included a try and a line break. Josh Jackson picked up 2 try assists and made 28 tackles for a score of 69 in 68 minutes. Josh Reynolds scored a try with a line break for a solid score of 54.Sam Perrett scored well for the second consecutive game with 49 (17 of which came from a try).

Big news for his SuperCoach owners was the ankle injury suffered by Ben Barba. He only lasted 10 minutes on the field and scored a try with a line break for a total of 37. Dene Halatau played 69 minutes but didn’t do much for a score of 20. Krisnan Inu didn’t get in on the attacking action and finished with a disappointing 19. Aiden Tolman played 49 minutes but was quiet with a total of 34 points. Tony Williams continued to disappoint with a score of 46 in 49 minutes off the bench.

Parramatta Eels
The Eels were on the whole very disappointing (again) in round 20 but Ben Roberts provided a rare SuperCoach gem with a score of 93. He played 80 minutes at 5/8 and scored a try, had a try assist, broke 3 tackles, forced a drop out, broke the line and had 2 line break assists in what was easily his best game for the season. Reni Maitua played 56 minutes off the bench and scored a handy 56 which included a try assist and a line break assist. Winger Semi Radradra scored a try and made 2 line breaks for a season high score of 55. Matt Keating played the full 80 minutes and made 45 tackles for a score of 53. Joseph Paulo played 80 minutes and scored 51 thanks to 27 tackles and 20 from hit ups.

Halfback Luke Kelly was poor with a score of just 16. Jake Mullaney and Willie Tonga were uninspiring with scores of 17. Ken Sioplayed his first game since round 17 and failed to excite with 20 points. Darcy Lussick started in the back row but played only 30 minutes for a total of 29 points. Daniel Harrison scored a season low 38 in 50 minutes.

St George Illawarra Dragons
Trent Merrin was a beast for the Dragons in round 20 and scored a huge 89 points in his usual 62 minutes off the bench. He made 33 tackles, 4 offloads and scored an impressive 39 from hit ups. Mitch Rein played the full 80 minutes for the second game in a row and scored 70 on the back of a try assist, 43 tackles and a line break. Back rower Bronson Harrison scored a try with a line break for a total of 67 in 67 minutes. Ben Creagh was solid with 55 points (including 29 from hit ups) in 65 minutes. Brett Morris scored a try and finished on an OK score of 47.

Jack de Belin played 31 minutes (his lowest since round 9) and only scored 25. Cheap option Adam Quinlan was poor with a score of 22. Josh Dugan had an equal season low with 30 points. Jason Nightingale had a down week with a score of 33. Michael Weyman (31 minutes) had his lowest score since round 16 with 34 points.

Canberra Raiders
Round 20 saw Raider Jarrod Croker produce his third good game in succession with an impressive 79 points. He set up 2 tries, scored 10 from goal kicking, made 2 offloads and had 2 try assists. Fullback Anthony Milford had another awesome game with a score of 76 which included a try, 9 tackle breaks, 2 line breaks and 22 from hit ups. Shaun Fensom was great with a score of 74 in 76 minutes thanks to a big 52 tackles and 21 from hit ups. Joel Edwards started in the back row and played 62 minutes for a score of 69 thanks to a try, 33 tackles and a line break. Hooker Shaun Berrigan scored a try with a line break for a total of 60 in 39 minutes off the bench. Josh Papalii was solid with a score of 58 (including 36 tackles and 22 from hit ups) in the full 80 minutes.

Halves Josh McCrone and Terry Campese had quiet games with scores of 13 and 21 respectively. Sandor Earl played his first game since round 16 and under whelmed with 29 points. Joel Thompson played in the centres and was a little poor with a score of 38. Reece Robinson once again played on the wing and scored a try with a line break but could only muster a total of 40 points.David Shillington played a big 57 minutes but didn’t make the most of it with a score of 46 (his lowest since round 14).

Gold Coast Titans
The Titans didn’t produce much to get excited about in round 20, but Ashley Harrison was their best. He played 78 minutes and made 41 tackles for a score of 61. Nate Myles scored 57 (33 coming from tackles) in 50 minutes. Luke Douglas played a big 54 minutes off the bench and scored OK with 47 which included 29 tackles and 23 from hit ups.

Albert Kelly had easily his worst game for the season with a score of just 16. He missed 7 tackles, committed one penalty and made a whopping 4 errors. Matt Srama played only 21 minutes and scored a meagre 21. Outside backs David Mead, Jamie Dowling and Brad Takarangi were all poor with 16, 26 and 23 respectively. Fullback Jordan Rankin was quiet with a score of just 23. David Taylor came off the bench for 43 minutes and was horrendous with a score of 27. Mark Minichello (46 minutes) andGreg Bird (80 minutes) stunk it up with scores of 38 and 41 respectively. Aidan Sezer had an off game and scored 39.

South Sydney Rabbitohs
Three Burgess brothers played against the Titans in round 20 and two of them went on an absolute rampage. George Burgessstarted and played 55 minutes and scored an absolutely monstrous 134 points which included a try, 20 tackles, 18 tackle breaks (18!!!), 2 line breaks and 37 from hit ups. Sam Burgess was equally as impressive with a score of 133 in 63 minutes on the back of 2 tries, 27 tackles, 8 tackle breaks, 2 offloads, 3 line breaks and 26 from hit ups. Matt King played his first game for 2013 and scored a healthy 72 thanks to a try assist, 2 offloads, 2 line breaks and 24 from hit ups. Cheap option Luke Keary played only 17 minutes off the bench but was impressive scoring 2 tries, breaking 5 tackles, breaking the line and picking up a line break assist for a total of 70 points. Isaac Luke played 80 minutes and was OK with a score of 55 (38 coming from tackles). Dylan Walker scored 51 on the back of 20 tackles and 21 from hit ups. Chris McQueen played 70 minutes and scored an OK 50 which included 28 tackles and a line break. Nathan Merritt played fullback and made 2 line breaks for an OK 46 points.

Ben Lowe started in the back row and played 50 minutes for a poor score of 28. Cheap option Thomas Burgess (31 minutes) scored 31 in his third game for the season. Ben Te’o was quiet in 57 minutes and scored 38. Halves John Sutton and Adam Reynolds were relatively quiet with scores of 43 and 44 respectively.

New Zealand Warriors
Round 20 saw Kevin Locke bounce back after a couple of quiet weeks with a score of 84. He scored a try, had a try assist, broke 6 tackles, broke the line and picked up 2 line break assists in a great performance. Shaun Johnson made it back to back big games with a score of 75 which included 2 try assists, 18 from goal kicking, 2 offloads, a line break and a line break assist. Thomas Leuluia scored a try, broke 7 tackles and made 2 line breaks for a total of 69 points. That’s his second solid score in a row. WingerNgani Laumape scored 2 tries with 2 line breaks for a score of 68, his highest since round 14. Elijah Taylor once again played 80 minutes and made 29 tackles along with 2 offloads and a line break assist for a healthy 64 points. Ben Matulino played 41 minutes off the bench and scored 55 on the back of 19 tackles and 22 points from hit ups. Simon Mannering was OK with a score of 52 which included 27 tackles and a line break. Konrad Hurrell scored a try and finished on 50 points.

Manu Vatuvei could only manage a total score of 21. Sam Rapira played 45 minutes but disappointed with a score of 22. Dane Nielsen had his third quiet game in a row and scored 27. Cheap option Suaia Matagi played just 27 minutes for a score of 29. The game time just isn’t there for him to be relevant at the moment. Nathan Friend (80 minutes) and Feleti Mateo (43 minutes) both scored 49.

Melbourne Storm
Maurice Blair continued his claim as one of the buys of the year with a massive score of 92 in round 20. He scored a try, made 2 line breaks, had a line break assist and scored 24 from hit ups. Billy Slater had his best game since round 14 with a score of 90 which included a try, try assist, 2 line breaks and 2 line break assists. He’s really cheap this week. Justin O’Neill scored a season high 82 on the back of a try, 6 tackle breaks, 3 line breaks and 27 points from hit ups. Cooper Cronk scored 69 (his best since round 2) thanks to a try, 2 line break assists and a 40/20. Cameron Smith played 80 minutes and was solid with a score of 68 (43 of which came from tackles). Front rowers Jesse Bromwich (45 minutes) and Bryan Norrie (48 minutes) were solid with scores of 52 and 50 respectively. Ryan Hoffman played 80 minutes and was OK with a score of 48, 28 of which came from tackles.

Will Chambers had an absolute bludger of a game with a score of 12. Brett Finch was poor and finished on 23 points. Ryan Hinchcliffe played 45 minutes but only scored 28. Tohu Harris played 46 minutes off the bench for a score of just 43.

Cronulla Sharks
Todd Carney returned to form in a big way in round 20 with a huge score of 125. He scored a try, had 2 try assists, scored 28 from goal kicking, broke 6 tackles, broke the line and had 2 line break assists. He has been the form SuperCoach player over the last month and congrats to anyone who bought him on the cheap. Andrew Fifita started and played 54 minutes for another great score of 92 which included 34 tackles, 5 offloads and 34 points from hit ups. Winger Sosaia Feki scored 2 tries with 2 line breaks for a total of 81 points. Michael Gordon also scored 2 tries on his way to 74 points. Ben Pomeroy jagged a try with a line break for a score of 64 (a season best). Wade Graham played 80 minutes after missing round 19 through injury and scored an OK 53 which included a try assist, 26 tackles and a line break assist. Jeff Robson had his best game since round 14 with a score of 51 (20 of which came from a try assist and line break assist). Centre Jonathan Wright scored 50 on the back of 17 tackles, a line break and 14 from hit ups.

Nathan Stapleton played on the wing and totalled 9 points. Sam Tagataese played off the bench and scored 34 in 37 minutes.Bryce Gibbs started at prop and played 43 minutes for a poor score of 38. Chris Heighington (50 minutes), Jayson Bukuya (80 minutes) and Tyrone Peachey (30 minutes) all left a bit to be desired with scores of 48, 48 and 42 respectively.

Penrith Panthers
James Roberts had his best game since round 17, scoring 2 tries with a line break for a total of 70. Tim Grant played 58 minutes and scored a solid 60 on the back of 31 tackles and 24 points from hit ups. David Simmons was OK with a score of 48 which included a line break and 23 from hit ups. Centre Dean Whare made 15 tackles, 2 offloads and a line break assist for 47 points.James Segeyaro played 50 minutes off the bench and scored 46, 22 of which came from tackles.

Luke Walsh had a very quiet game at halfback and scored just 15. Adam Docker started at lock and played 47 minutes but didn’t produce with a score of 25. Isaac John was poor again with 29 points. Alarmingly that’s his best score since round 16. Lewis Brown played in the centres and scored a pedestrian 30. Matt Moylan scored just 37 which included a try assist and 27 from hit ups. Kevin Kingston made 41 tackles in 69 minutes but was a little disappointing with a score of 37.

Newcastle Knights
Darius Boyd had his second great game in a row and finished on a score of 72. He scored a try, had a try assist, broke 6 tackles, broke the line and picked up a line break assist. Jeremy Smith played 59 minutes and scored 61 thanks to 39 tackles and a line break. That’s his second consecutive score over 60. Chris Houston was solid in 65 minutes off the bench with a score of 50, 29 of which came from tackles. James McManus scored a try with a line break for a respectable total of 47 points.

Willie Mason suffered a calf injury after playing 19 minutes (and looks set to miss around 4 weeks) and only scored 15. Jarrod Mullen was quiet for a score of 20. Centre Joey Leilua had his worst game since round 12 with 22 points. It was a similar story forDane Gagai who scored 25. Tyrone Roberts was poor again with a score of 26.

Sydney Roosters
Sonny Bill Williams returned to his best in round 20 amassing 100 points in an 80 minute performance. He scored a try, made 28 tackles, broke 5 tackles, had 5 offloads and a line break. Unfortunately he looks set to miss 2 weeks due to a suspension stemming from a shoulder charge that collected Willie Mason in the face. Boyd Cordner’s red hot form continued with him scoring 82 thanks to a try, 30 tackles, a line break and 22 from hit ups in 80 minutes. Sam Moa played 34 minutes off the bench and scored a try with a line break for a total of 67 points. Jake Friend picked up a try assist, 31 tackles and a line break assist for a score of 63 in 63 minutes. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was OK in 43 minutes (down from his season average of 49.4 minutes) with a score of 54 on the back of 32 tackles and 22 from hit ups. Luke O’Donnell played an impressive 59 minutes (a season high) and scored 54 which included 29 tackles and 26 points from hit ups. James Maloney was OK with a score of 48 thanks largely to a try assist, 14 from goal kicking and a line break assist. Michael Jennings scored a try and gets a pass mark with a score of 43.

Mitchell Aubusson played 34 minutes off the bench and was poor with a score of 17. Wingers Daniel Tupou and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck scored ordinarily with 21 and 27 points respectively. Anthony Minichello was quiet with a score of 26. Shaun Kenny-Dowallhad his lowest score since round 11 with 36. Mitchell Pearce had a bit of an off game and finished on a score of just 37.

Wests Tigers
Tim Simona’s amazing form continued into round 20 with the winger scoring an impressive 85 points. He scored a try, made 11 tackle breaks, 2 line breaks and had a line break assist. Robbie Farah bounced back from an ordinary round 19 with a score of 81 which included a try, 27 tackles, 5 tackle breaks, 2 forced drop outs and a line break. Chris Lawrence scored 67 (his best since round 3) thanks to a try assist, 2 offloads, a line break and a line break assist. Liam Fulton played 80 minutes and made 33 tackles on his way to a score of 56. Adam Blair started in the front row and played 55 minutes for an OK score of 41, 32 of which came from tackles. David Nofoaluma scored a respectable 40 which included 17 points from an amazing try.

Blake Ayshford scored poorly once again with a total of 15 points. Braith Anasta started in the halves and played 80 minutes but was horrendous with a score of 18. Curtis Sironen played 25 minutes off the bench and also scored 18. Jack Buchanan started in the front row and played 40 minutes but was poor with 21 points. James Tedesco had his fourth stinker in a row with 23 points.Keith Galloway played his first game since round 2 and played 40 minutes off the bench for a score of 30. Bodene Thompsonplayed 55 minutes but under whelmed with 34 points. Benji Marshall’s horrid form continued with him scoring 36.

Manly Sea Eagles
Jamie Lyon’s golden run continued in round 20 with him scoring a season high 97 points on the back of 2 tries, 22 from goal kicking, a line break assist and 21 from hit ups. Justin Horo played 80 minutes and also scored 2 tries for a good score of 72.Kieran Foran notched 3 try assists and forced 3 drop outs for a total of 67 points. He’s been in great form since round 13. Anthony Watmough only played 64 minutes (down from his season average of 69) but scored an OK 58 on the back of 29 tackles, 5 tackle breaks and 18 from hit ups. Daly Cherry-Evans scored a try with a line break for a total of 55. Matt Ballin made 41 tackles in 77 minutes and scored a respectable 54. Jamie Buhrer (56 minutes off the bench) kept his good scoring up with 52 points thanks to 25 tackles, a line break and 18 from hit ups. David Williams was OK with a score of 45 which included a try assist and a line break.

Brett Stewart’s great form came to an abrupt halt. He scored a grand total of 3. Jorge Taufua had his worst game since round 11 with a score of 27. Glenn Stewart once again played 80 minutes but was quiet for a score of 36. Steve Matai played only 45 minutes due to injury and could only manage a total of 37 points. Brenton Lawrence’s slip into SuperCoach obscurity continued with him finishing on a disappointing score of 42 in 39 minutes.
