Cooper Cronk is the 2013 Dally M Player Of The Year after a very consistent season for the Melbourne Storm.
The awards started off fairly slowly but things picked up once Russell Crowe stepped up to the microphone and started to had a bit to the show.
Cameron Smith and Greg Inglis won a heap of silverware but this was a night for Cooper Cronk, a worth recipient of the Dally M Award.
Here is a list of the nights award winners:
Fullback Of The Year: Greg Inglis
Hard to argue with that one. He had a great season for South Sydney. Pushing Billy Slater for the Australian fullback spot I think!
Winger Of The Year: Roget Tuivasa-Sheck
Hes been brilliant this season. A real high flier! Rep honours around the corner for him!
Center Of The Year: Jamie Lyon
He had a great year for the Sea Eagles. Possibly the best year of his career.
Five-Eighth Of The Year: Todd Carney/Jonathan Thurston
They both went close to the big prize and ended up tied on Dally M points.
Halfback Of The Year: Cooper Cronk
A big night for the Storm halfback!!!
Hooker Of The Year: Cameron Smith
They’ll just name this award after him eventually. Thoroughly deserved though!
Prop Of The Year: Andrew Fifita
A career best year, he was a stand out for the Cronulla Sharks in 2013.
Second Rower Of The Year: Boyd Cordner
A bit of a surprise but still, he had a great season.
Lock Of The Year: Corey Parker
How about that one! He had a very good season!
Coach Of The Year: Trent Robinson
A great effort in his first season as an NRL coach. A Grand Final and coach of the year!
Captain Of The Year: Cameron Smith
Pretty hard to argue with that one. Smith one of the game games great leaders!
Rookie Of The Year: George Burgess
He had a BIG season. HUGE! Massive!!!
Peter Frilingos Moment Of The Season: The Burgess Brothers
Just in general. I’m not kidding! Their Mum when up with them to accept the award too! Classic!
National Youth Competition Player Of The Year: Bryce Cartwright
Watch for him to play first grade next season. He was on another level to everyone else in the NYC!
Representative Player Of The Year: Cameron Smith
Hard to argue, it was a tough field but bloody hell he plays well at rep level.
Provan-Summons Peoples Choice: Greg Inglis
Hard to argue with the fans. Inglis has had an incredible season for South Sydney.
Dally M Player Of The Year: Cooper Cronk
After a very consistent season for the Storm and for Queensland he is a deserved winner!
I’d have given Jamie Lyon the Captain of the year, he’s been awesome for us this year…the fact he wasn’t even nominated was ridiculous.
