The Canterbury Bulldogs incredible spending spree has continued with news that centre Josh Morris is set to re-sign with the club through to the end of the 2018 season.
Morris spoke of his decision to remain at the Bulldogs with the Sydney Morning Herald.
For most of last season there were very strong whispers that Morris was set to move back to the St George/Illawarra Dragons when his contract expired. That the Bulldogs have managed to convince him to stay is a great sign for the direction the club is going in.
Morris has been a good player for the Bulldogs but unfortunately every time he looks like he is about to really kick on and be one of the best strike players in the game, he ends up picking up an injury. If Morris can stay injury free he is one of the best outside backs in the game.
Morris’ signature adds to the big spending spree the Bulldogs have been on lately. After signing Andrew Fifita, and re-signing James Graham, Morris’ signature suggest that Des Hasler is pretty happy with most of the squad he has right now.
