Manly Sea Eagles back rower Glenn Stewart will leave the club at the end of the season and join up with the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2015 on a two year deal.
Stewart was not even offered a contract by the Sea Eagles and that is something that has angered some within the club. I wrote a few weeks ago that the club should just be honest with him and tell him they didn’t want him.
Stewart is a handy signing for South Sydney, if he has come at the right price. His injury concerns are not something you can overlook. When he is fit and playing well he is a very good player that can cause a lot of issues for an opposition forward pack. The problem is you have to keep him on the field.
Stewart will no doubt be seen as a replacement for outgoing South Sydney forward Sam Burgess.
