After being under an injury cloud for the last ten days and rarely training with the team, Daly Cherry-Evans looks almost certain to play in tonight’s second State Of Origin game.
Cherry-Evans looked no hope earlier this week as Brisbane Broncos halfback trained with the Maroons. Mal Meninga has given Cherry-Evans all the time he has needed though to be fit for the vital must win clash tonight.
If he plays it will be a bit test for Cherry-Evans. It is a big call to carry injury into a State Of Origin match. If he runs out there tonight and realises he just isn’t up to it, he would be leaving Queensland in a terrible position.
For a player of his quality though, you can understand why Queensland are hopeful that he plays.
