The Brisbane Broncos have re-signed a couple of their veteran players, handing Corey Parker and Justin Hodges two year contract extensions.
Parker’s re-signing is a no brainer but I have to say I’m a little surprised that Hodges was re-signed.
Over the last few years Hodges has battled a number of injury problems that have seen him spend a lot of time on the sidelines. I wouldn’t have been surprised to see Hodges call it a day at the end of the season so to know he has a contract extension now is a shock to me.
These re-signings do give the Broncos some stability and no doubt both players took a reasonable salary to make sure they were worth re-signing by the club.
The Bronco’s have been aggressive in the player market recently as they look to turn things around from their disastrous 2013 season.
