Peter Badel of the Courier Mail in Brisbane has told Triple M radio this afternoon that Manly Sea Eagles halfback Daly Cherry-Evans will commit his future to the club in a deal that will see him earn about $1 million per season.
The deal would be put in place to hold off interest from the Brisbane Broncos who are extremely keen to sign Cherry-Evans.
2013 was a breakout season for Dally Chery-Evans. He proved to be a key player in Queensland’s State Of Origin winning side and played a big part in Australia’s World Cup winning campaign.
He is poised to step into the role as the games number of halfback if he counties to improve, so to lock him into a contract extension would be a great move for the Sea Eagles.
