Well, that escalated quickly!
The New Zealand Warriors have announced that current CEO Wayne Scurrah will leave the club in November. That role will then be filled by current NRL COO Jim Doyle who will stand down from his current role at the end of the year.
Doyle, who used to be the head of the NZRL, has been a key member of the NRL that has been putting salary cap reforms in place in recent months. His decision to stand down from the NRL is an interesting one.
It is great news that Wayne Scurrah is on the way out at the Warriors. Some of his decisions while in charge of the club have been questionable to say the least.
The coaches the club has signed in recent years have been disastrous and their recruitment policy has been bloody terrible.
Hopefully Dolye can step in and put an end to all of that.
