There’s a young bloke called Jack. He is just like any another other four year old boy. However last October Jack was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic disorder that leads to muscles basically wasting away. Approximately 1 in every 3,500 boys worldwide is effected by this disorder that usually leads it sufferers to being confidend to a wheelchair by the age of 12. As it progresses it starts to effect more of the body and eventually leads to the person needing a ventelator just to breathe.
This is a terminal condition and the poor people that have it usually die before the age of 30.
As of right now, there is no known cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
That is where the movement Joining Jack comes in. Joining Jack is a UK based charity and their goal is to raise as much money as possible to try and find a way to treat this disorder.
