Mal Meninga has said that Dave Taylor has not done the job for Queensland in the past and that he expects more out of the 130 kilogram giant.
It is kind of a strange way to welcome Taylor into the Queensland camp.
Queensland called Taylor up after Corey Parker was forced to withdraw from State Of Origin two with a facial fracture.
Taylor’s form this season has been patchy at best, and you get the feeling Meninga was trying to put a rocket up and him maybe fire Taylor up to perform well if called upon in Origin 2.
