The Kansas City Chiefs have been obliterated in the 2025 NFL Super Bowl by the Philadelphia Eagles by a scoreline of 40-22.
Bookmakers has the Chiefs as favourites heading into the game, with many suggesting a win against the Eagles would would cement the teams place as a true dynasty on world sport alongside the likes of the Penrith Panthers in the NRL.
Alas, it was not to be, as the Chiefs were blown off the field early in the game and never looked like they would make a comeback.
This is the 5th title in for the Eagles, dating back to before the NFL/AFL merger. It is the teams second Superbowl victory adding to their 2017 title.
Three Super Bowl Championships in five years is still a pretty good effort for the Kansas City Chiefs. Sure it’s not anywhere near as good as the Penrith Panthers winning four straight NRL Grand Finals, but it’s still pretty good I guess.
