Well, Penrith had a good win over the Melbourne Storm on the weekend in what was probably their best performance of the year.
The Storm didn’t play their best football but its the first game in 2005 that has seen the Panthers put in an entire 80 minutes worth of effort.
Penrith are now not that many points out of the top 8, but they need a lot of sides to stumble if they are to get there. It’s taken a while, but a lot of the big guns are slowly starting to make their run.
The Cowboys and Broncos are going well, the Roosters and Bulldogs are getting back into the mix, the Dragons have come back well and really only the Panthers are poorly placed as we enter the second half of the season.
As for teams on the slide, the Raiders, Storm and Wests Tigers are struggling at the moment while the Sharks had a TERRIBLE run before their win over the Roosters last Friday.
This will all hopefully make for some good must win games at the tail end of the season. At this stage though, the Broncos and Cowboys look a class above everyone else.
