Papua New Guinea has come back from a 20-0 deficit at halftime to get a shocking 24 all draw against the Australian Prime Ministers XIII.
The Australian representative side was fancied to come away with an easy victory and looked to be well on theuir way as they ran out to a 20-0 lead but a second half surge by the Kumuls saw the locals come back and get a result that will not only send PNG into party mode, but one that must also worry England going into next years World Cup.
Papua New Guinea is the only country in the world that claims Rugby league as its national sport and its good to see the works being done in recent years to advance the quality of the game there staring to pay off.
With PNG in the Super Group at next years World Cup, some worried that they would be cannon fodder to Australia, New Zealand and England but it seems they will be more than a handful to all three teams.
