I am one of Brent Tates biggest fans. He is a whole hearted, gutsy players who decided to play on with a neck injury that would have seen most other players retire.
He always produces the good no matter who he is playing for and against the best of the best at Origin and Test level, Tate has shown he is a top class performer.
In saying this, I am stunned that the New Zealand Warriors will offer Tate a reported $1.4 million to join the NZ based club.
Wasn’t this the same club that said it could not afford Sonny Bill Williams?
Williams eventually signed with the Canterbury Bulldogs for 5 years, but there is no doubt that Williams would have contributed so much to the Warriors that they needed on and off the field.
In a similar way that Ruben Wiki has been so benificial for the club, Williams, another top class New Zealand performer, would have been a revelation as far as marketing goes, and thats not even to mention what he can do on the field.
With the Sharks, Panthers and now Warriors after his signature and offering big money, it will be interesting to see where Tate ends up.
