The Wests Tigers have offered Tedesco a four year deal but the Canberra Raiders look like favourites to snare his signature with a much bigger offer.
Tedesco knows better than most players that you have to take your opportunities as they come. A knee injury saw his first season all but wiped out. His second season started off very well but once again he finds himself on the sidelines due to injury.
If the Canberra Raiders are willing to make him one of the highest paid players in their squad, he should take the money and leave the Tigers.
It would be a blow to the Wests Tigers if they lost Tedesco. After the ridiculous saga surrounding Benji Marshall last year and the much improved form of the Tigers this year, Tigers fans really deserve something they can continue to be positive about.
The form of Luke Brooks has been outstanding when you consider he is a rookie halfback, and most Tigers supporters would have hoped Tedesco stayed at the club and helped build a core of good young players for the future.
Money talks though, and it think even the biggest Wests Tigers supporter would understand if Tedesco couldn’t say no to a big payday from the Canberra Raiders.
