Hull FC will part ways with coach Peter Gentle at the end of the season according to The Daily Star. This comes despite the fact that Gentle has coached Hull FC into the Challenge Cup Final.
Hull FC have been terrible this season. Their fluke win to make the Challenge Cup Final can not gloss over their terrible league season so far.
I’ve been a critic of not only Gentle but the Hull FC club itself this season. Their recruitment has been questionable at best, they have played like garbage for most of the season and some of their losses have been nothing short of embarrassing.
Obviously for owner Adam Pearson, enough was enough.
Shaun McRae announced he was leaving the clubs last week and now Gentle looks like he will be gone by seasons end as well. This is a great sign for supporters. It shows the owner isn’t going to sit back and allow the club to be run into the ground.
It will be interesting to see who Hull FC targets as their next coach. I wonder if they look to bring Justin Morgan back to Hull. He had reasonable success with Hull KR and he is not about to pick up a head coaching job in the NRL any time soon.
hahaha ‘the star’ is just a rubbish tabloid paper ! don’t believe them!
And i don’t believe it was a ‘fluke’ getting to the final at all! yes up and down season but were getting there slowly!
All newspapers are rubbish tabloids these days! Lol
